I have visited Devil's Tower a few times. We went to a presentation by the rangers. The Native American story that he told was that 7 sisters were confronted by a bear. The ground rose up and saved them. There are in fact 7 stars up above it. 🤔He didn't say anything about a tree. We also went to one from a geologist about why it's there. It's definitely not a petrified tree.
