I had one , I adopted that fell.out of its nest. 5 years and one day flew away which made me very happy. they are super intelligent. they are better at learning to speak than parrots. also super affectionate. awesome birds!

Crows are just very intelligent.. I have several exotic birds and they are well over the intelligence level of a 4 to 5 year old child and crows are on a level above them. One of the first birds to use tools to do certain task. You wanna be blown away… look into dolphins
Nah talking to them is fine. It's keeping them as pets. the reason why is cause they can be taught to steal or used to deliver contraband. Talking to them will only be an issue for someone else down the line on a hike. Might think they've got a skin walker on their hands and it's just a crow.
