Bible verses from both the Old and New Testaments, including passages from Isaiah, Proverbs, Matthew, and Luke, repeatedly instruct followers to share their food, care for those in need, and show compassion for the less fortunate. That's for all you so-called Christians that missed it.

The food was already paid for it had left the United States. It was on its way to its destination, but Trump stopped that food from being delivered and almost $1 billion of taxpayer money paid for that food that they burned up almost $1 billion. The food (high energy biscuits) had expired before it could be distributed. This method of eliminating expired food is not unique to this administration. The biscuits were acquired under the Biden administration as a contingency for needs beyond initial projections, but they could not be depleted before their expiration date so unfortunately they had to be destroyed. One could argue that expired food is better than no food, but I don’t see how giving someone something to eat that may kill them is not humane nor compassionate. And no, there is no evidence they were intentionally allowed to expire.
