The woman is just a friend and has no interest in the man. You can tell by how she looks at the man and then back at the wife. He apparently has done things in the past that make his wife suspect him though. I am single and have learned to never even say anything to a female about anything due to the fact they will gossip or say something sexual about you being after them. Men are not all after a woman just because they say something to them, but that is always what women think.
