Under the US constitution we have the right to own guns ..period... The reason for owning a gun is to defend your home and family from burglars, arsonists and others wanting to hurt you. I suppose part of his argument is true. We do fear the potential harm to our family and children. Canada has outlawed "assault" weapons and handguns. Criminals get guns and can easily enter a home knowing residents can't have a gun. This leaves the residents few options. I prefer blasting the intruder in my home before I or my family are harmed.
