What an incredibly stupid and ignorant statement. It's the criminal who has made the decision that his own life is not worth more than the property or life he is attempting to take from someone else. It is never the victim's fault, although some will try very hard to make you think it is. Every human being has the absolute moral right to defend themselves, their family, and their property. To pretend that it is acceptable to allow a criminal to violate you or your loved ones out of fear of what other people may think of you is insane, and it only invites fear, chaos, and the destruction of our civilized society.
