what it was is the age group that ac/dc's music appealed to were younger kids who were in the stage of life where they were gaining a sense of agency and individual identity that was separate from the shared identity of that with their parents. it just happens to be about the same time that kids get into trouble and usually stop burdening their parents with every little thing that happens in their lives. so the parents feeling like the music was the thing taking away their children. when in fact that was a completely normal thing. they can't remain children forever. but it was anyone else's fault but their own.
