I had the exact same operation in the exact same spot 2 years ago I was walking 1 day after it's not that bad
I think Amy is milking it for some sympathy. My first back surgery I had a laminectomy. Stayed over night then was discharged the following morning. I could walk immediately without assistance. I've had a total of 4 back surgeries: 3 lumbar area with L4-L5 fused. Just had my cervical spine operated on and C6-C7 was fused. Didn't need to fuse C4-C7 because C4-C5 are severely stenotic. That was an unexpected surgery. I also have a weak left leg and left dropped foot. I'm still walking. Thank God.Thanks to God and my guardian angel s, they've seen me through 18 surgeries and multiple hospitalizations. It was even to the point where the MD asked my sister for my code status. I personally know what it feels like. Yes, yes, pain is subjective. I still think she is milking it. I can see using a cane perhaps. A walker - no.
I wish you continued strength and perseverance. I know you can do this. I went through this 51 years ago.
