it's kind of like a human body if your brain has been injured in an accident it will automatically start shutting down non-vital things
well alternator puts out the electrical current that keeps the battery charged okay now the alternator is not putting out enough for current it does create a problem if it put out too much also it's got a certain vote did it have to put out it plainly stamped right on the side of the alternator there's ways of checking it
also if there's not enough for current to satisfy the computer it will shut down portions of the car that's not required as much as the important one you don't like me not work you turn you know your stuff like turn signal tail lights the radio the heater
