no it's not the thermostat that's air bubbles going back into the reservoir, that's called blown head gasket

That's just your engine, overheating.It's most likely you're thermostat.Check your water pump and don't listen to stupid people saying that it's a head gasket without proof
Im pretty sure it’s a blown head gasket! I hope it’s not but that was my issue on a 2020 Jeep Cherokee latitude! I tried to change thermostat and radiator but didn’t fix it! Head gasket is what I was told !
