I tapped mirrors with an older car (his driver's side) and knew there was a crack in his mirror housing. When I got home I walked back with a dirty, nasty envelope with a $50 bill and an apology note telling him where to find a mirror at the junkyard. The entire passenger side of the car was gouged bad, bumper to bumper. I kept that envelope. A week later the car was in the same spot only it had been driven there with the entire front clip shattered and dragging. I imagine we're both glad we didn't replace that mirror.
