Yes, in Most hospitals they give you a complementary steak dinner for the mother and the father. I think this is at the end before you leave the hospital. Congratulations.🥰
No steak but right down the hall we can get you a nice plate of vasectomy with a side of audacity removal!
I got a bottle of champagne 🍾 from the hospital 40 years ago. With 2 glasses 🥂 💕
he thinks his wife became a vampire during labor.
After I saw the video my first thought was “who the hell does this guy think he is? Hes going to have a damn grilled cheese and he’s going to like it!” Then when I read the first few comments I thought the ladies were being facetious, but I kept reading and all I can say is WOW! I am blown away! I had never heard of such a thing! Good for all of you getting what you deserve for allllll that work!! I was in the hospital for 5 days after my c-section and all I wanted to eat was cream of wheat anyway so the steak would have been lost on me.
One of the nights was for steak and lobster and wine in the 70's where I was
I got 2 steak dinners... highland hospital in Rochester NY in 1998... didn't have to pay...had 2 because the sperm donor (absent dad) didn't come to see baby...so I had 2 dinners 😁
I got steak dinners for all 3 of my birth children.
Northern California 1997 Steak 👍
Where the hell you people given birth no one ever said anything about a steak dinner I never heard about before this I never had a choice in what room I delivered in let alone a steak for dinner so like I said where the hell do they do this
Just go down the street and get some steak at a restaurant and better bring some for Mommy!! 🥰
And to clarify I live in Chicago not the stop somewhere in the middle of nowhere
Glad mine were born before someone started this.I would not do it.
He wanted to celebrate with a steak dinner what's wrong with that? lol
I had a steak dinner with my oldest son born in 1984. Had champagne as well.
that's some jacked up swaddling .🤔
Yo nurse lady, that baby is stressed out from you whippin' him around like that, you can hear him protesting. But about the dude... That's normal of men. It doesn't make him an asshole, it just makes him a typical man. My dad went to Burger King while my mom birthed me and then did the same thing 3 years later with my brother. I hear about this from many women, so I have this theory that every time we create a life, they feel the need to go eat one, always some form of animal they want to eat. 🤔Idk, it baffles me, I didn't want anything after giving birth except fruit.
My daughter delivered her 3rd child 3/11/25. The delivery cost just over 30K, and she was told that she had to pay extra for the baby to be put on her chest immediately after birth. WTF???
That's the worst swaddle I've ever seen in my life. that woman doesnt belong there.
I don’t care about the question. The only thing bugging me is how she is swaddling that baby.
Got induced (fasting), finally delivered at 9:30pm, was starving by this point, kitchen closed, so all I could get after begging for something was some toast. Tasted pretty good at that point. MN in 1995.
I never heard of the steak dinners until my last 2 children. It was split between my mom and other children (I'm not much of a steak person).
I had a steak dinner for two with my daughter at the hospital the next day, I think it was around 1990’s.. idk if all 3 times I did but I remember one time!
I gave birth to four children. Never got anything but what the hospital was giving to everyone else. So don’t know what state you people are in.
I'm more concerned about how that nurse is swaddling the baby, DAF 🤦♀️
he asking bc some hospitals do this, I've never had the pleasure but it's a common practice in some places and no it's not bc of health insurance, it's the hospital that does it as a congratulations gift.
It’s not a weird question. In 1984 when I had my first son in Los Angeles they gave me and my husband a steak dinner with all the trimmings. Yum
My husband and I got dinner the night that I left the hospital after having our last child. I couldn't eat it because my stomach was bloated from surgery. I remember it was Chicken cordon blue. That was in 1987.
I ate steak after both kids were born, one in '88 in California, the other in '99 in Illinois. My insurance wasn't the greatest. But hey, steak dinner!
I gave birth in Tucson, AZ @ 3 different hospitals & all I got was my tubes tied before I left. My 2nd child was @ Tucson Medical Center & they didnt feed me @ all. They didnt give me my pain meds either. I kept hitting the call button. They said they would page the nurse. She never came. Supposedly her pager ran out of batteries. It wasnt until I started crying from pain that my husband went 2 the front desk talking shit about why no 1 brought me meds or food. Apparently they put me into a room on the opposite end of the l&d that was not normally used. When I checked in 2 b induced, 30 women had came in that night 2 have babies. So when I had my son, they gave him his shots & tests, then brought him back 2 me. Then they moved me, & essentially forgot about me. In the 3 days I was there, they did not feed me 1x. My husband worked around the corner, so he would bring me breakfast & lunch, go home & shower. He would come back with food & spend the night with us.
back in 1983 if you had a C-section , you & the baby's father got a complimentary steak in your hospital room. boy had times changed. Lol
Some hospitals in my area used to give a steak diner to the proud new parents of their 1st child so maybe that’s why he’s asking his parents probably remember when it used to be a steak diner complete with a glass of non alcoholic wine I believe 🤔
he got hungry for steak after all that pushing he didn't do...
She doesn't know how to swaddle that baby
Man, I almost died and I didn't even get to eat within 24 hours of delivering because everytime they brought me a plate of shitty cafeteria food something would happen. The doctor would come in to check on me as my plate was being delivered and accidentally knock it on the floor before I could even get a first bite or the doctor would send the staff away and tell them to come back but they never did. Stayed in the hospital for 5 days due to complications and had two meals within those 5 days. I can't explain how angry and hungry I was at the same time. I feel like no one was looking out for me from the time I entered that hospital to the time I had left. A steak would have been amazing, especially since I lost so much blood. Hell, would have been nice if the staff didn't keep waking the baby up every time he fell asleep, preventing me from sleeping. Recovery would have been nice. I guess everyone's experience is different...
I got steak, steamed veggies and a glass of red wine. Nothing cost me anything, it was for all new moms
It’s called a stork dinner for first time parents.
I had a lobster and steak dinner after one of my kids were born. late 80s
Why does everyone think that this straight jacket is good for babies?
I gave birth 33 years ago all I got was a baby I want the steak😆 love my babies 🥰
Someone called it a stork dinner I'm guessing. They don't serve chicken.😆
I have 5 kids between 1993-2007 no steak dinner here in Massachusetts
We had a steak dinner the night our kids were born. Both of them
perryton, tx. give steaks to all parents with new babies
Yes a five star hospital lol
Wow! back in 77,I didn't get special anything. My 1st child, wouldn't even let husband stay! Then brought me an aluminum ashtray!!. Had to stay 4 days too, wasnt leaving my 1st newborn! Son had jaundice...put under Billroobin lights.I was scared but they said it happens a lot.
had 4 kids and never got a steak dinner. Never heard of it.🤷♀️
oh no that poor little baby's been born too some idiot.😆
Lord forbid a man asks a simple question. Especially one who goes through the whole birth you and stands by your side the entire time.
Both of the hospitals I delivered my children at have a big steak dinner and a huge fruit and cracker basket for the parents.
