I paint, did my flooring, change guys in toilet, drove a dump truck, did 30 years auto assembly, raised 2 boys and divorced 4 lazy husbands. Also have a truck and trailer, help friends move and work on my ZTR mower. Getting old now but I was invincible 🤔

one thing my grandpa did is teach me to never rely on anyone else to get things done. So, being an amputee and wheelchair bound, I have to get creative to get things done, but nonetheless, they get done.

I complained for months that our shower walls were soft around the tub. One day I got a spoon out and started digging in one of the soft spots. Needless to say, I got a bathroom remodel out of it. 😅
Come on, I just installed a new lock on my door. And installed my air conditioner. Replacing the toilet is next, with new sewer pipes.
I was basically a single mother for 45 years before I got back together with my HS boyfriend. It's hilarious when he tries to tell me how to do something since I built my own house and was the one responsible for taking care of everything that went wrong with it 😂
My boyfriend would just let me do it. When he comes home from work, that is it. He turns into a zombie,👽staring at the television.The fact is he knows I can do those things better. My Dad was a machinist. He had his shop in the basement. My boyfriend always comes to me to fix things. The only thing is that he is stronger than me. I need a new boyfriend badly. 😕
I’m 83 and I do all my own yard work and have lots of flowers and vegetable plants. Take care of my house. It’s getting harder and I’ve taken five falls, but I’m going to push it til I’m headed to cremation. Life’s too short to sit. I had a great husband who would do anything for me. Now it’s all mine to wrangle. The only thing I suck at is driving in a screw or nailing straight. Think positive and smile so people wonder what you’re up to.

Three years ago I had a new refrigerator delivered . The guys said they didn't hook up ice makers. My pregnant daughter and her son went under the house and hooked my ice maker up. She does Hydraulics with her husband.

My husband chased me just like this but I was capable of doing alot. You know there is an expression, something about not having to work aalot but working smarter? Well, I can pr ove that. At work, I was a social worker and wanted alot of activities for my residents. If things weren't done in (my idea) of a reasonable time, I just got the biggest hammer I could find and roofing nails. I started to nail only once and maintenance decided from then on when they saw that hammer come out , get in front of her. At my retirement party they gave me a hammer and roofing nails. lol

What brought my husband (then- boyfriend) running was when I used a rock as a hammer and butter knife as a screwdriver. BF did not know at the time that my father worked in the construction trades and taught this daughter a few things. The most important teaching is that if I started the project/fix by myself, they would come running to finish or mansplain.
But he still gets up to see what’s going on ? Others just stay sitting or laying down watching tv
Now she has the ladder set up for her honey do’s. And honey is on the way.

my dad taught me all kinds of things as his helper. get me that tool no not that one the other one. 😲then I married and taught my girls how to do things. oldest fixed her own dryer by watching how to change a belt on YouTube. both have thanked me for teaching them how to fix things. I would rather do it myself then I know it is right. I could change a tire and change the oil in my car. my second husband laughed at my hammer because it wS too light for him. I told him it fits my hand exactly so don't touch my tools.
When I was pregnant all I had to do was open the garage and he dropped everything and mowed. Also in 48 years of marriage I’ve never vacuumed. He knows he does so much better!🤣

So this is just scamming to get him up and helping. My Dad raised me to do it myself. He explained that men spend a great dealof their time tearing apart machinery, cars, tractors, trucks, hand tools, anything that needs to be fixed. Women are intelligent enough to do the same, so always take whatever apart and try to fix it myself, if unable, then ask. Easy fixes, hanging pictures, curtain rods, etc. are quick and easy. I love putting furniture together 😉

im 55 now and a single widow, but was blessed with hard-working women and men in my family, and my husband was a great mechanic. i do my own oil changes and minor stuff on my 09 Toyota Tacoma, im a tomboy all around, and I will continue until i can't anymore. its frustrating at times because i cant do what i was able to 10 years ago, and sometimes have to have a mans help now n then💪💪🙏
