Not a surprise cops try to bully people instead of following policy or rules
the school can not release a student to an unauthorized person, only to a parent or guardian. The school is responsible for the student until the child is picked up or released to go by bus or walk home. But no hand over. That would be a lawsuit against the school.
Principal should have ordered them to leave for carrying guns in a gun free zone.

If the officers have a warrant then the principal has no choice. However if there is no warrant then he must adhere to school/district policy.
I believe that would be breaking his constitutional right as a minor yet alone his parents are not of knowledge that the police was there. another thing so for the principal to not allow the officers in the school to handpick a minor was a smart deal on the schools behalf. And now the school doesn’t have two face, a lawsuit of letting an agency come and kidnapped a parents child without the parents acknowledgment.
Now, kid knows they're looking for him. Word will spread. Gonna be harder to catch after the last bell rings. Cops should have waited until school let out. Principal was cool about it. Asking the principal to break their policy through manipulation? Not cool.
