in February 2023 Brent Thompson was pulled over for expired tags and gave a fake name. he ran from police was tays in the middle of the highway and was struck by an SUV and killed seconds later. his family filed wrongful death suit and it resulted in a 5 million dollar settlement. the driver of the car was not charged.
