The people saying the cop had to ask for permission to pursue him don't know the difference between a foot chase and a car chase. He took his life,his kids, the passenger and that cops life in his hands and luckily he's the only person who died or got hurt. A cop in Rock Island was killed in the mid 90's after a drunk driver took off with him on the side of the car and the cop in the car behind him accidentally killed him when he fell off and was run over. That cops picture is probably displayed prominently down at the police station and they think about what could happen in this exact situation every single day. Taser wouldn't have worked inside of a car you have to have a foot on the ground for it to work. Pepper spray the driver of a car with toddlers in no car seats and he hits someone head on and killed those babies what then? If only the people making the most noise about "Police brutality" "Unlawful shooting" had taught this young man not to act like a moron .
The cop should've said what he was under arrest for or being detained for. It's right on the edge for him to run up with a weapon... not identity himself verbally either... then proceeds to just start putting hands on the kid. Then shoots him and a weapon was never produced. The car moved a total of 3 to 6 ft. Also depending on the kids warrant... wtf would it have hurt to just let the kid get away. He can't outrun the radio anyway. Come back to his house with a warrant and arrest him. Not smart at all to resist... I used to deal with the exact same police force in the Rock and in Milan.. if you give them a reason to ruin your day, month or life... they're going to. I won't say one way or the other of it was justified because I don't want to feed the stupidity that floats around civilian/cop relations. Seemed like that cop was a little extra primed.

If y'all want to live longer when getting pulled over your best bet is to roll all your windows down, turn on the overhead lights, and keep your hands on the wheel. It shows a sign of respect and will give you a higher chance of getting out of a ticket (learned this from people who have police in there families.) Talk to a cop like your friend, cooperate and don't be hostile. I'm telling you you'll get off 9/10 times. Unless you have warrants 😂
