wtf i back the blue on almost everthing but not this one. i would like see this criminally charged for elder abuse. there was absolutely no reason to take him down like that no reason at all. pisses me off.
turns out the officer has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and battery. The victim Vu suffered a brain bleed, a broken neck and eye socket and remains hospitalized.

Oklahoma City District Attorney, Vicki Behenna, charged "Sgt" Joseph Gibson with aggravated assault and battery. The Oklahoma Attorney General, Gentner Drummond, dropped the charges against the violent offender in uniform.

If this guy worked for me and I saw this or saw the video he would be immediately put on unpaid leave and charged. This was in no way necessary or warranted.

Joseph Gibson, 28, was charged in Oklahoma County with one count of aggravated assault and battery in connection with the Oct. 27 dispute. Body-worn camera video released by police shows Gibson throwing Lich Vu to the ground after Vu touched Gibson during an argument following a non-injury traffic accident.

As a former LEO, I strongly support law enforcement officers. However, this power-hungry punk needs to be fired and prosecuted. There was no reason to treat an elderly person like that. Had it been one of my parents, his badge wouldn't have meant anything to me.

Have people forgotten that elderly individuals can be quite rowdy when they come off aggressive you shouldn’t take it too personally or as a threat unless they have a weapon of some sort I can understand this elderly individual was agitated and had lightly jabbed the officer but the officers reaction and overall performance was completely unacceptable I really wish the boys in blue would understand this from my point of view this was a complete misunderstanding and the officer took it to the extreme this is not what our tax dollars is paying for not at all me as an individual I am extremely displeased with us I hope to never personally witness this with my own eyes 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
