I have a down Syndrome child. And it is normal for others to say that. What they don’t realize is we are the most lucky parents in the world. They are actual angels that have been sent to our homes.
The doc apologized because she just had a baby that we know ahead of time will have many many health issues, possible extreme behavior issues, may not walk until they're 5 or 6. That doesn't mean they're unworthy of love, just that it's already known that they'll have to go through a lot. I hate when people say "they all love everyone and are so happy" when they're actually individuals just like any other person. Congrats on their new baby and leave it at that. :) 💕

Downs is such a spectrum. The only thing that seems to be universally true about people with Downs is that they are especially loving. This baby is as full of possibilities as any baby. With a strong loving family she'll have all the support needed to do as much as she can do. Some people will be surprised by how much that is.

down syndrome children are just the sweetest ❤️ they don't see bad intentions in others so I do feel bad that they get teased and bullied, they have so much to teach the rest of us!! that level of optimism and kindness is so important and special 💕our neurodivergent kiddos are angels and should be treasured
