I was in that situation not too long ago. was with my ex for almost 10 years we broke up and still lived together for about a year and a half after the breakup. it was awkward to say the least but we both respected each other by not bringing anyone home. reasons why we still lived together after the breakup was because of the lease and I wanted to give her time to save up money and I even gave her money to move into her new place. every situation is different and I'm not sure we could've lived together if the environment was hostile
