I wish other white people can understand like this guy. I watched my dad struggle to put food on the table til one day he just broke down and cried. It shocked me I couldn’t understand how this man who served in the Marine Corps for 35 years break down because of the struggle we went through being black in America. It’s not fair we are and we’re treated so badly.

As a dad, this made me tear.up.cause I have a daughter who is 2 and I will cross hell fire to provide everything thst she desires not having the money sometimes hurts my.soul to get the things she needs to become a beautiful human being
This made me shoot a text message to my Mama and Step Dad. I'm struggling as a single Mama who works my butt off on hot parking lots weekly to give my kids what they want and need and it is so hard to not feel like I'm letting them down!!

if only we could be the dad's our kids expect us to be. sometimes the mother paints a picture of us to the kids and destroys any possibility of our children finding out for themselves as to what kind of father I could have been. when you daughter treats you like a stranger. that's bs ya'll. !
I feel like that everyday had a good job then started getting cluster headache migraines with epileptic aura now I’m working two limited jobs, between the sleep and the cluster headache migraines it’s hard to spend time with my two daughters I feel disappointed in myself constantly but I shrugs it off and keep moving

that's any race though! I'm white. never knew my father and didn't have a party many years growing up while my mom worked 2 to 3 jobs and we lived in a car for a good while. it's a tough situation to look back on. but I just hope that dude knows that his daughter loves him. No matter why, as long as he is there for her, that's the best gift that he could ever give her.
