She should only get what you build together for the seven years, and not what you had before you married her. I think that's fair.
You say you a lawyer, you know that you aren't the first and won't be the last. If you was my Daddy or brother you know that 7 months was to soon you knew she was a golddigger and you married her anyway.
after all of that, "You Picked Her" make better choices
No it's not fair I wouldn't take anything from you because like you said you work for all this before her so she's not entitled to anything you worked hard for a real woman wouldn't I would let that motivate me to do like you did work 10 times harder to get where you are ijs but that's me though not every woman gone have the same mindset as I do or any other just sorry you have to go through that
Bruh know who you are marrying before you say I do, a good lawyer would know better, learn from your mistakes and move forward with a smile, life isn’t fair or easy!!!
They changed the half laws! She only gets half of what you earned from the time y’all married! Research the law! Was repealed after Johnny Carson’s divorce!
The only thing that I think she deserves is what she came into the relationship with.
you stayed up all night studying, 1.4 mill. house Mercedes, law school? She had nothing. YOU A DUMMY! No pre nup is a HUUUUUUGE MISTAKE. Is it fair? Better yet is it legal? You went to law school.
I thought you had to be married 10 years to get anything from your spouse.
Don't Ask Black Women
You 40 I'm sure you seen and heard this happen to other men and you didn't get a prenup it's not fair but that's the way it is lesson learn and never repeat
she only gets what yall accumulated out of 7 years
You married her too fast, without getting to know what kind of demon she is.
I'm a female my opinion on that pronouncer agreements with anything in life I don't care who it is you always have to think that person could take half of what I have I'm not getting married just for that reason I'm not giving nothing up😂😂😂 I work to hard I looked at it as it come up with somebody else easily I marry you and take everything you have type person no
There’s two sides to a story. I gotta hear her side and then I’ll make a decision.😂😂😂😂😂
The Flesh is powerful 😆😆😆 and he was weak lol 😆 😂 she aint have nothing but tht kitty cat yall men stop thinking with the head tht dont make money or eyes tht see only what is illusion....😆😆😆😆 honeymoon is over...
"Hurt dogs will holler." You are in this situation because you did not protect what you worked so hard for. You are the one who went to law school. You are the one who chose to make her your wife after 7 months. Although I empathize with you, if you had properly weighed your assets and liabilities, you would not be on video lamenting over your poor judgment.
I can guarantee that when he told his friends or family that he was marrying a woman he only knew for 7 months one or a few of them told him that was a bad idea and he did it anyway. FAFO
that should answer your question you are not a smart lawyer you just lost clients I wouldn't hire you are not a smart person 😉 😜
Stop marrying people that look good on the outside and have a bad inside. That's what my Mama told me. You didn't get to know her.🙏🏾
It’s not fair. The a lot of things in life is not fair and if you are a lawyer and asked her for a prenup and she said no, it was an issue. You should’ve never married her the first place and they say money is the root of all evil
It’s sad there are women out there who do this to good men. But on the other hand there are some men who just run through women like we are water. Wish we all could just be good humans.
Do you have children together? I don’t think I heard anything about any children so are there kids involved and are they your children cause that makes a difference a little bit!
It's disturbing to here that you have a law background and did not secure a prenuptial agreement.
It takes a fool to learn. Love don't love nobody...
Nope that’s not right. She needs to stand on her own two feet.
This why she married you to take half of what you got
Why the hell you married a woman you didn't know
no she shouldn't get half at all.
I would not give half of notthing
You should have protect yourself
if you didn't see who she was before 7 yrs...... she did her job well, pay the lady. I understand being mad, if you really think about it though its your fault. next time you will move smarter.
That’s not fair, women that come into your life without anything they need to leave without anything, periodt
Should have wrote up a prenup. Then the ex could only get a lump sum of money. Now your ex can get a bigger percentage of what was earned during the marriage. Not having an agreement is biting you in the ass now.
Definitely not fair but you should have asked her to sign them papers
no it's not but these laws smh sad sad
She's not entitled to Half!!
You should have made her sign a prenuptial agreement before you married her
No that's not right next time do a prenup.
first mistake you didn't do your research
you're the lawyer. why not do a prenuptial
well you should have got a prenup.......
no I don't think it's right young man
she should be ashamed sir
no, it's not right!
no its not fair
no but it also depends on why she want the divorce.
The court system is making people scared to get married on paper. Is not fair
absolutely not
dummy lawyer
she crazy
No, I don't
woman are not in love with money they want your money so they can take care of that broke ass dude she left u for they will take their clothes off so fast for broke dude after u done gave her everything if u have money just pay as u go damn being an love with a wait on him to get rich woman run run my brother 😲🤔
Not fair. You as an attorney should know better
hell no want she do for a living Dennis parker
You studied LAW ???? !!!!!!
I’m so sorry my guy!
I think she is being selfish and greedy. She didn't have anything when they got together. I feel like she should walk away with half of what they build together.
he'll no,but you should have known. 🙏.
she should only get what she helped him build. if she didn't work and help him make the money, then what she gets should be a modest settlement a.d I do mean modest
absolutely not! whatever y'all did together is what she entitled too
hell no!!!!!!!
no it's not fair and when you were studying all them nights alone you should've been preparing yourself for this moment. it's called staying ready.
exactly. he had to have her and didn't care that he really didn't know her well in all fairness he got what he wanted and it was her. but if state law dictates she's entitled to half negotiate something fair and be done with it. it's not always cheaper to keep her either. just be fair and stop crying about it now. he could have had a post nuptial agreement. BE FAIR TO HER AND BE FAIR TO YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN IF THERE ARE ANY. be at peace that whatever is happening now will be over.
man or woman doesn't matter. if you had what you have now and you are in a community property state I believe for the marital years only what was accumulated should be community property and divided equally property or monetary is indeed fair. even though a prenuptial was not made i think thus is fair.
