This is so sweet. I was like that with my big brother too. Until 2004, the day he died. I got the call at work, and I lit that place up, crying and screaming. We had a tight bond, and to this day, I still have my moments of crying and missing him. The pain of loss never really goes away. It just gets a little better to deal with. I had a short relationship with my half big brother in our older life. We bonded instantly. I thank God we had time together before he died. It was an amazing feeling to have a Brother that loved me as a Sister.
maybe create some footage of them spending time together and him reading a few books so she'll have something to watch while he's away then continue introducing other activities until you wean her from this separation anxiety she is experiencing. she'll still miss him but after the routine is established she'll understand that he's coming back.
