There should NOT be a forced gratuity for any meal regardless of the type of restaurant. Tips are 'earned' not imposed. Also, the stipend should not be comparable to the price of the dinner unless the 'patron' decides otherwise. If waiters and waitresses want equal wages they need to unionize or otherwise change the structure of payment which is now one quarter of the minimum wage because of tips. I was slapped with a 30% gratuity on a $7.00 purchase. I argued about that too.
