Everyone growing up in the 60’s knows that the container is the sewing kit. I was actually surprised when I saw the cookies😂😂😂
Actual cookies in the Button Box? Whodda thunk!
I prefer the tea containers after I drink all the delicious tea they hold I re use for all sorts of organizing
last year, my mom gave me my grandma's cookie tin. I was so tickled. it even had wooden spoons in it. sadly, I lost my mom at the end of May this year....
Remember the 🍅 pin cushion?
what was in the cookie can that made the guy go cuckoo
why are there cookies in the sowing kit? wtf 🤣
So the younger generations DON'T have a biscuit tin with their sewing supplies in it?
that was the "Button" tin at our house, we had 2 of them with any kind of button you could ever think of,,, but never the one that matched whatever u were trying to replace a button on, lol
Wow. It's like getting to the break room, pulling out that brown Country Crock bowl looking forward to leftover spaghetti and finding - butter.
Never saw cookies in one before, apparently its always been a universal sewing and buttons container
we used to use the Charles Chip container back when the Charles Cup truck would deliver your potato chips.
if you put a piece of bread on top of the cookies and put the lid on the next day almost any cookie will become soft chew cookies. even the hardest cookies
I still have one. lol. 60’s baby.
I too remember those tins. My mom used it as a sewing box and she kept a jar of all types of buttons in it. I bought a top, but didn't like the buttons on it. That bottle had perfect small pearl buttons for that top. Years later I went to Lord & Taylor for something. When I passed the jewelry counter, I noticed that they had plastic button earrings. I went through the bottle of buttons and found a few that I liked. I went to a jewelry supply shop not far from where I worked and picked up some earring posts, glued them on and made my own. Cost me less then the ones at L&T. When friends and coworkers saw them they wanted them. They had me make them and bought bought them as Christmas gifts for their friends and family. Gave me something to do in the evening.
As a kid, my marbles collection was in a Crown Royal bag!
I think our tin was from a fruit cake tin. And I don't know where it is. hmmmm
😂😂😂
They actually sell these cookies in this tin at Aldi’s.
The older generation used to store sewing items in the cookie tins after the cookies had been eaten. I remember this from when I was a small child with my grandmother. My son (who is 20) and I went to Walmart one time around the Christmas holidays. He picked up a cookie tin and opened it and was shocked that there were actually cookies in it! He said, where’s the thread and needles?! I had to tell him that there is cookies in there before they are used for sewing items! 😂😂
if you don't know 🧐 it's not from your time. 😂
😆😆😆
I have a tin just like that one under the bathroom sink full of odds and end stuff
My daughter grandma had a big metal container used for sewing It is not a cookie can
I don't get it.
schools don't teach Home EC anymore, you learned seeing & cooking. I loved it. started when I was in jr high. I'm a old girl!!🥰
he had a rip in his chef's uniform and dude grabbed the sewing kit which actually contained cookies before sewing kits loved those dam cookies i use to grab it to eat the cookies and it was already a sewing kit dang it.
why are there cookies in the sewing kit😆😆😆😆
we used them for pictures sewing kits spare nails nuts and bolts and sometimes my mom used to use them for 🍪🍪 but we never knew when
I cannot make good cookies. so I buy several tins of these, get out frosting and all kinds of cookie sprinkles, cookie sheets (with sides) and the kids and I make Christmas cookies, each one unique!
The cookie tin looks the same as it did many decades ago..
I just bought a small one the other day . It had cookies in it. *had*. Now it’s my sewing can. Back in the day, when we were home from school (flu, cold, etc) we spent hours fascinated with the button box. Lots of creativity with old, odd buttons.
These were always either sewing kits, coins, or containers for toys at Granny's house.
I'm sorry but I grew up in the 70's they had cookies in them yummy cookies, only could buy them at Christmas time, my got a canister of them every year, until he died about 20 years ago. So I had them every year for 40 years, they were great.
That is so relatable!
I thought it was a sewing kit too!!! LOL
what no sewing kit! 🤔
don't think I've ever seen wut the actual cookies looked like lmfao
such a stupid video. At least show what he saw.
Hey, who stole my SEWING 🧵🪡 supplies!
love those cookies!!
None of these comments have anything to do with the video. Why did the guy inspect the man’s shirt? Why did he hit him on the head? Why did he go get a tin of cookies? Why did that guy look shocked like he had never seen cookies before? And why did the other two jump back like they were scared of the tin of cookies?
we still have the sewing kit in there 😆😆
omg. I thought I was the only one to use this tin as a sewing kit
I was born in 1991 and still knew that was supposed to be the sewing kit.... I didn't know they could actually have cookies.... I thought that was just decorations for an otherwise plain metal sewing kit!!! 🤯
lol still have one. My little sewing kit with everything I need. In my little tin can. 🥰
We reused everything.
oh no where's the needle and thread in the little tin that used to have cookies in it that now has actual cookies in it . life is ending as we know it oh my goodness 😆😆🤣
This is so freaking true 😆😆😆
Yep I thought it was the sewing kit ! Lol
I had goody hair Barretts in my royal Danish can once cookies were done😁
I have that same cookie tin full of buttons and another full of embroidery thread etc.
oh, my God! cookies!
😆 IYKYK
If you saw or know how these cookies were made you would regurgitate. Discussing cookies
😆 Ha Ha!! We use that very same cookie tin for sewing needs. Good one!!’😆
Lmao talking about old school my mom had one of those
Im 1979 and I know what this container is REALLY for. SEWING NEEDLES and THREAD, HAIRS BEADS AND BARRETTES.
Speaking of cigar boxes, my step dad had plenty of cigars those boxes. When I was in third grade we had a house building assignment. My mom took one of the boxes, then cut the top off and bended the top into half, stuck it in way so that it looked like a roof and wrapped the in tire box in aluminum foil. She thin cut out of the sides and made little windows. It was awesome!!!! Just wanted to share.🌸
If someone slap me like that, I will turn around and either punch him in the face or kick him so hard so he will remember forever that regardless of the circumstances, you have no right to mistreat people like that 😭
How you smack him while he is cutting!?!?!? You ain’t no chef anyways! Just throw the knives in the soap water why don’t you!
Years ago organization was a priority!
this is unheard of. who in the hell put cookies in the sewing kit
🫂
we put fabric in the lid with stuffing for loose needles easier to find
