A floating barge with no means of self propulsion to keep prisoners locked up in the middle of a river, lake, dock, or ocean is a fantastic idea! We should have more to keep the worse worst-case prisoners to keep them away from normal prisons in a more solitude environment for "rehabilitation" or "reform" for the prisoners, but having one of these for the worse lifetime offenders of violent and other crimes in the country would be of a great benefit to society! Having a barge prison instead of big ugly prisons taking up farm or residential or business lands would be a better deterrent for criminals because they would not want to be locked up on a prison barge with nothing to look out the windows at, a dreary existence for them to look forward to!
