So, I think the bases were loaded and that was not an infield fly rule because the ball hit off his foot and was not hit into the air off his bat. Once it hits off his shoe, albeit still in the air, the infield fly rule doesn’t apply. The reason the first baseman(out#1) threw to second was that the guy on second went to third without tagging(out#2). The shortstop then throws home to get the guy at home that tagged from third(out#3). You are taught to play through until the play is dead….just in case. They only needed 2 outs because there was one out already, therefore, the throw home was just in case they determined that the ball hit the ground first before his foot. If they wouldn’t have tagged the guy out from third and they determined that the ball hit the ground then there would’ve been only 2 outs and that guy from 3rd would’ve scored. Excellent awareness by the defense to play through to “cover all the bases”(pun intended). 👍👍

The runner going to second base was not out. he would have had to been tagged or the ball thrown to first base to double him up. So, no triple play. The runner at home was tagged out to complete the double play.

This bounce is rare but not unheard of. I was once I'm powering a college game a few years ago as the baseball umpire and a line drive hit me in the knee and bounced over the gugout while I was in the middle of the infield. Yes, hurt, and I was out of commission for a couple of weeks.
