2 steps and a football move is the minimum necessary to calling a touchdown. An extension of the arms can constitute a football move. by catching the ball then extending the arms and taking 2 steps he fulfilled the requirements necessary. which is why people are saying its a catch. NY review got this one wrong plain and simple.
The rule is to secure the ball two feet down and a football move like a step. He catches. He gets two feet down. Then before his first step after two feet down, the ball comes out. I think the confusion is that people think his two feet down constitutes a step. He has to make the football move, a step, after the two feet are down.
if anything that was a forced fumble leading the ball going out of bounds which goes back to the team who had possession no TD
Yea and they want people to bet in this shit😆
It’s really not that insane at all. He didn’t make a football move.
I’m a diehard Steeler fan of 45 years. But that was a touchdown. Ravens got robbed IMO.
They call that a incompleted pass really someone had money on this game lol
That's a touchdown.
I guess you gotta catch the ball and take it home with you before it's a catch.
someone got payed really good too not except this TD. point blank 🤔
Both feet then "a football move" is required for it to be considered a catch. If he pulled in the ball, stiff armed, took a third step, dove, slid, spun, or made any type of "football move" after his second foot touched, it would have been a touchdown. But they should revise that rule for next season after this...
Touchdown
It's a fucking touchdown
You need two feet in before going out of bounds, but you need 3 feet down when you’re in bounds? How FN stupid is that?
if he would have broke the plain and then slapped out- difference? they call a touchdown all the time when it was never really completed with a whistle and fumbled he held that ball tight to show possession until he was sure. Bad call
Cheating or incompetence plain and simple.
I'm a Steeler fan, and it was a catch. But just like how the Steelers got gipped with the Jesse James catch (or non catch) against New England, it is what it is.
catch
its all scripted and a distraction to the masses.
The correct call by NFL rules.
Did not have total control of the ball. NewYork made the decision not the on field refs
td all day long
It’s two steps and a football move.
The rule is complete the process . to cover the spread
no td... wont fit the scripted narrative
In the backyard that is a touchdown, no do over. Or maybe it’s a fistfight.
that's a catch!!!!!!!!
What happened to if it's in your hand when you cross the goal line
red flag, throw the red flag 😲😱🤯💯🤬 you are now fired.
That call should have been an easy one to make when he makes the catch first is the Right foot (1), then Left foot (2) position and control TD
The crazy part is it almost looks like Likely dropped the ball because he assumed he had already gotten the TD. With such a tight grip on the ball, why not just pull it in after 2 steps.
Even if it was a td plenty of time left for Pitt to get a few yards and kick a game winning fg.
that's a TD... period
He dropped the ball, he wasn't going to the ground, he just dropped it.
didnt keep control of ball
NFL is corrupt to much money bet and too easy to get the refs to tank the game!
TD
because money is involved
if he tucks the football in , there's no way in heillllllll!!!!!!!, they reverse the call ( to non t.d. ) , it would of been the football move , havin said that , it was a t.d. !!!!!🤔🤔🤔😆😆😆
100% a touchdown
he has 2 steps inbounds
Remember what happened to Calvin Johnson? Two feet in, lands on his butt, all while holding onto the football. But because he let the football go the referees called it an incomplete pass.
The bottom line is that the football crossed the goal line and he did had possession of the ball. Cause one the ball breaks the goal line its a TOUCHDOWN.
NFL is the new WWE. It’s all choreographed!
TD
TD
Just tuck the damn ball away and you will LIKELY have a touchdown without any controversy
Yeah, I’m with some of the comments saying in SloMo. It seems like he has the ball, but he couldn’t get that third step in to prove that he had control over it at that point but instead he let go almost like it made it to his hands, but he couldn’t hold onto it but if he just lets go of it because he caught it then that’s on the rulebook there
If it would have been Kelce and the chiefs would have been a touchdown no questions asked
Rigged. Rule is two steps…
3 feet down w clear possession. Should be a TD
Now it takes 3 steps to be considered a completion??
two steps and a football move . the football move was missing
It’s a touchdown
It all depends on what Vegas says to do.
Possession. 2 feet down. Control. Thats a TD all day. Come on refs. Do better.
2 steps. touchdown. held the ball away in control so that defense wouldn't bat it out
