Hiring people to meet quotas is racial bias and shouldn't be in the work place. The person with the best ability and skills should be considered the best for the job, regardless of race or color. And if a person wants to challenge it, let them go head to head on knowledge, work productivity and proficiency and the best gets the position.
White coaches get hired and fired as well. Most things in the world is about Money. You do your best and sometimes that’s not enough! You don’t want me, I don’t want you! No crying or whining, shake off the dust and keep it moving!
The understanding many people have about DEI is ANY BLACK PERSON in a high level job is a DEI HIRE. And ANY WHITE PERSON IN A HIGH LEVEL JOB EARNED IT, and it’s not questioned. How comfortable some people are to sit in their positions of power and authority and go unchecked, unquestioned simply because you are white. Simply because your white it is assumed you earned it.
Most people do not understand that DEI is not about qouta hiring, it is a bout hiring people with different life experience so that companies that gain competitive advantage. For example, for decades Dunkin Donuts threw away the donut holes until a black store owner saw value in them and started selling them as their own product. Something that the same people (who always think they are the smartest and most qualified) in charge did not see. So stop thinking that its about qoutas and realize that corporate America would not do it if it was not a financial benefit. School is out!
