I would have followed my mom and Auntie advice. They've lived longer and probably experienced some things first hand.. Never ever go into a situation hot headed and emotional. Cool off, and always have a plan in place. Plus, it's Christmas... Don't blow up the kids christmas, cause clearly that's what the other woman wanted to do... Sis play chess, not checkers. Know your next move 🤔

Next is the divorce.
What did you do? In reference to your question I would try to do what your mother said because family was in town and the kids were there and it was Christmas and nothing was going to change over a few days or a week. That would also give you time to calm down and figure out what’s your next move. Are you planning to leave him? Divorce him? are you planning to work it out? Did you contact a lawyer first? this would’ve given you time to just settle yourself and being in a position to have a conversation with him when some of the first raw emotions had passed.
I'm so sorry for this. no matter if you stay after or not. sometimes loyalty means More than someone else.
Just me being me I can't fake anything, I'm to honest and my face and mouth couldn't keep it in and wait for Christmas. I know it would ruin Christmas, but there will be other Christmas's.
