She will do great. I had a lab that had to have a leg removed when she was 1. She made it to 12 1/2. She chased balls every day. Only issue was she would not go near large bodies of water. Loved her kiddie pool though.

So happy and thank God she was cured and survived her cancer!! I am also a cancer survivor who did not realize how fortunate and blessed by God that I survived until knowing that others with the same cancers didn't survive. I hope your dog and you will enjoy many more happy years together!! Happy that you were able to provide the care your baby needed.

Animals fare better than humans when missing an appendage. They acclimate rather quickly. I know from having a amputee dog. also a cat with 3 legs ran circles around the others cats when younger. (she is now 17+).

We had a male black lab that was chasing chickens, and got hit by a car. The final results was his left rear leg had to be amputated, and the large thigh muscle was all they kept.It looked like he was carrying a satchel. well, we had a few laughs when he hiked his good leg to go pee, and his nose dug into the ground as the third leg. He still chased chickens. it didn't seem to slow him down at all. In fact, I think it turned him against the whole family. Because he went to the next street over and found a new favourite person. He lived there for about three years before he died in his sleep. He really was a good dog. he was a Gaspoint Road legend.He still had the great personality. Side note: my husband had just won a $500 lottery. In denver, on a stop over flight. He got home and two days later Hoser got hit by a car. the vet bill was $501. yeah, that was my husband's luck. He always at least breaks even or wins.💕🥰
