My daughter's first husband did the same thing. When they divorced, the house fell on him, and him only. He had to sell the house. My daughter was able to apply for a loan in her name only. She received a loan to purchase a lovely ranch style home move in ready. She is very happy.. Her ex-husband now has to rent where he lives now. He was unable to buy another home.

I dont blame her at all, the look on her face when she realized he had all the power to tell her to leave over anything really or if he cheated she'd have to leave and the other woman could move in bc its not in her name. also, with the house only being in his name if there were a divorce, him having the house if he made her leave, in court he would look better than her bc he'd have a house for their children, thereby potentially costing her, joint custody.. so, sad. he knew wht he was doing telling her AFTER he knew she was so happy and excited. letting us know he knew wht he did was wrong.
