What he has learned is to walk out on his last day and leave them high and dry. To be treated this way is a slap in the face—legal or not. Poor business practice.
well since they fired you by law they have to give you your full paycheck and any benefits owed to you within 24 hours
This is the reason people are quitting and walking off jobs because when you try to do things correctly these companies sometimes make it hard for you and do things to let you know they don't value you or your services.
Typically this happens if the place is sensitive to potentially being sued over malpractice or mishandling of documents, or if you’re an under performer
not sure why he is so upset. he's quitting anyway.
What a HORRIBLE COMPANY! Put them on BLAST so NO ONE goes there EVER!
Don’t waste your time with big business. They don’t care about you at all. When you give 28 years of your life to a company and they decide to screw you over when you retire they didn’t care for you to begin with. If you are quitting then just quit no two weeks, they don’t give a 2 week notice when your fired so why would you give two weeks when you fire them as an employer…
As a nurse in the state of Missouri at this facility, I worked at we were supposed to give a four week notice something to do with the nursing board or Hospital policy or both but historically you give them your notice and they’ll tell you to pack your bags and get out that day but legally you’re covered because you did give them a four week notice
I never gave two weeks notice. I am 70 had many accounting jobs Never felt the bosses were owed two weeks notice as they had me doing the work of three people. Gladly retired now!!!😁
I had this happen to me. I got a new job and wanted to do what I thought was the correct way and gave my 2 weeks notice. They immediately took all my computer access away and escorted me out of the building like I was criminal.
Instead of give 2 weeks notice, go on paid vacation and then quit.
just quit do not give them your notice about you are quitting why give them the respect they don't care about you
I worked with a lady that got a letter while she was on vacation. Same news.
nothing unusual here, for corporate America, this is normal practice. It's smart business because they don't want people hanging around not vested in the company and people who would potentially steal company intelligence... The only thing unusual is that they didn't pay you for the two weeks notice, which is standard.
Corporations don't care about you don't bother giving them a two week notice. Times are different the people you work for are not your friends. Look out for yourself first.
most employer s will have you leave right away and that's fine.
sounds like unemployment to me lol 😅
This is why you find a new job, don't give notice and roll from one to the other no break in pay. So satisfying to get the call... Why are you not at work, oh yeah I am at work just not with you.... done it.
A BIG LAWSUIT ...OR WHAT DID HE DO ???
Good. Now that you got fired, screw them and collect unemployment. Get the termination in writing🤫
WOW, that stinks! What a crap place to work!
trust me there time will come. I did childcare for 40 years. when they knew I was burned out they cut my hours. yet other teachers who weren't nice to the little ones were able to keep their jobs. so parents don't let anyone fill you. I did give me two weeks however cause of personal problems in my home life it was time to retire. I was never there for a paycheck I was there for the children and the children knew I loved them to the moon and back. I had the best job ever. .it was sad to leave I cried now I get to love my beautiful grandchildren ❣️
Shame on That hospital!!
If an employeer ends your employment immediately that is in essence them firing you..With that being said they have an obligation to pay you your immediately any back and/or present pay..Know employment laws!!!
I can see this compny having high turnover. Value your employees.
This is the reason people stop giving notice. Respect goes both ways.
He will be paid for the two weeks he gave notice for. I learned quickly to give 30 days notice especially in management lol
ppl need just work until your last day and then up and leave. see how they like that
that's why you don't give them notice
Steven should be able to collect unemployment now.
what is this horrible company
🤔 straight to the unemployment office they fired you lol
That’s why no one gives a two week notice 😂😂
This company is full of crooks!!! Where is the civility? You robbed him of 2 more weeks of pay. Wow!
Make sure you have all your ducks in a row BEFORE you submit notice, bc lots of companies do this....especially if they are concerned about any aspect of your relationship with them. Be prepared, know your rights and be savvy.
Do not give two weeks notice ever. More and more companies are doing this. Notice them your last day at work. No honor at all from employers.
why he looking like he gonna cry f them.ppl
How are you gonna fire him after he puts his 2 week notice!
yeah just leave 😒 they have NEVER cared
Next time quit the day of then walk out
this is common. Just quit
I had 15 yrs in a hospital as a RRT and they got rid of me, I was 60 yrs old and I get no pension now. It sucks
what did he do wrong
Why are they ending it? Get unemployment since they let you go. Explanation please.
Texas is “at Will” state. They can fire you “at Will” but want employees to give two weeks notice as a courtesy. Only had one job where I walked out during a meeting in which the supervisor came to office because she wrote me up. Well, she was trying to blindside me so I turn the table around and walked out.
sour ass companies. just goes to show the pure immaturity of some people. you really didn't wanna continue a work relationship with this type of company anyway. putting them on blast was the correct thing to do, the next person that has a chance to advance their career may see this and not offer them two weeks.
wtf??
now that is wrong you do that to that man and he was nice enough to put in his two weeks notice and you're going to let him go now that could be a lawsuit I'm not sure but come on man the man did the right thing you're doing him wrong
what company is this
I took my 6 weeks got paid, while I was on vacation the 6 weeks came again new year, but see the company got smart and wouldn’t pay me the other 6 weeks until I returned. I returned for a short while got my other 6 weeks and left.
Poor guy. They couldn’t tell him to his face. Man you don’t even need to be working there!!!!!
I don’t know what state you live in, but if you put your two weeks notice in and they’re admitting that you didn’t they still have to pay about those two weeks
Worked for the San company for 20 years and this is what they did to me. Then called my new boss every day to complain about him stealing me. 😆😆😆
You gave 2 weeks notice , they fired you effective immediately . There for the have to pay you severance and all PTO . Se France is based on how long you have been with the company .
And I don't have to give a 2 week notice
happened to me twice, but they paid. free vacation.
This also happened to me years ago. I tried telling my employer that I have found a new job that paid more. I told them I'd give them two weeks notice. But, instead they literally Blew up at me. I of course Blew up at them back. What I have learned, just keep everything to yourself and Secret. Don't give any company a chance at revenge. End everything at that moment. And walk away.🥺
I was treated the same as this man
wow
They have to pay you for your two weeks
Be prepared yo leave when you're leaving. Don't expect to finish 2 weeks in a state that allows you tk quit without notice at any time. They can't let you go for any reason at any time. I believe it's call At will Work.. off the top of my head. YOUR giving a 1 week notice is a courtesy for them to have time to find someone. It doesn't mean they have to keep you, if they have someone on standby
this is why you dont give two weeks you think they will give you a two week notice if there were going to fire you hell no
FILE UNEMPLOYMENT TODAY!!! … THEY HAVE 24HRS, TO GIVE YOU YOUR CHECK!!! Your better off 🙏🏼
