The ticket was worth $1000. There is a news report on this. The store has a history of doing this. The clerk was fired. The store lost its lottery license. She kept going back, and the store eventually gave her the rest of the money only after she was suspicious and called the state lottery and the police. Retail owners do this a lot. So, if you're a lottery gambler, check your own ticket. If you think you won, take a photo and sign it before you give it to the clerk to check

How do you buy and play a scratcher but not know how much you won, and if you won? You literally just look at the matches. Most lotteries also hace apps too where you can scan the barcode yourself and see the winnings.

if you got a winning ticket take a photo of it and take photos of where you cash it. know how much that ticket is worth before cashing it in don't just take it anywhere to cash it. there should be information on the back of the ticket.

In California there's a machine on the customer side that they can scan it and an app that you can scan it through. I wonder if they don't have that in different states? 🤔 there's also a monitor facing the customers that shows what they're winning are when we scan it (I am a gas station clerk).
