Everything was great until the taunt, at the end of the play! Great athleticism! Bad sportsmanship! If I were the coach, she would NOT have been able to play until she personally and privately apologized to the catcher, the other team, and her own team!

I see some of the comments on here !! Now I played HS and JC and semi- pro baseball at pretty high levels! With that being said, there is not a Coach that I have ever been Associated with that would allow me or anyone playing with me to blatantly Disrespect another player!! What this young girl did has no room in Team Sports! Period! The things my coaches taught me , how to carry myself, reflected how I carried myself on and off the field! This young girl is learning a very Bad Life Skill! Rudeness and how to put down someone who may or may not be weaker than you ! Bad Characteristics!

You can't intentionally throw your helmet off before reaching home plate. That's an out. Second, the taunt at the end is a disqualified act. She should be ejected and the run doesn't count. I've been an Umpire in N.C. and Illinois for 35 + years.

I think it’s important to remember the fact that at that level of competition the catcher often talks smack to the batter to try and get in their head and throw them off.
Everyone calling this an inside the park hovering, put a sock in it. It was a throwing error.
