I had a cat that had babies a day before her sister she passed by the kittens and grabbed a kitten and took them all to her bed and then her sister would come get all of them and take them to her bed! This went on for quite some time. Finally we made one big bed and put all together. One big happy fat family!

I had 2 cats that had kittens at almost the same time. One would steal kittens from the other, before long we didn’t know whose kittens were whose. One big happy family.
we had this happen when we had a mother and a daughter both had a litter on Valentine's day.. total of 19 pups and they would run and sneak and steal all the pups they could and then the other stole those back plus some more .. lol
That's so weird that they can discriminate by color like that.

YES they do that ! I also had two sisters but one would let the other one to feed them all , until I noticed one was real skinny and the other one would always go to sleep or hang around without a care in the world , so I went and got all of them and placed them on her but the good momma went and got hers back or at least thought they were hers . Animals are extraordinary creatures , I always learn from them . I'm a cat rescuer and most of the time I care for around 40 cats , that's why it's hard to keep up but I do well . They are not in one location only .
