I love your view , young man. People are already making the excuse for Nick, by blaming his horrendous actions on drug addiction. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and, I am glad that your parents are alive! Merry Christmas.

I agree. Just because you have an addiction to anything does not give you an excuse to murder anyone, especially the people who brought you into this world. I know there are certain drugs that completely alter your thinking, however, during that period, you are still aware of what you're doing. Even if in your mind you are standing back watching yourself do it. I pray for your siblings who are left to pick up the pieces of this horrible & despicable deed that you have done🙏🙏🙏 RIP Rob & Michelle❤️❤️

We don’t know what was said between them. Rob said he had to have total control over his job and probably his son. His son probably wanted money for more drugs. We weren’t there. So we can’t judge the son.

Absolutely correct! You are so right! There isn’t ever a good reason for killing anyone unless it’s self defense and I can’t say I believe that is what happened at all ever! This was a heinous crime committed by their own entitled son! What is even worse is I’m afraid that he’s going to get away with it because of where it happened and who he is and his documented history.

It sounds like more of a mental health issue than an addiction issue—although both together are an extra challenging condition. It’s called Dual Diagnoses. I won’t be surprised if his mental condition was the main factor. This murder has strongly affected me. Yet as a previous Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, it seems like Nick’s mental illness must not have been fully dealt with.

avator
Adriana Ayala

RIP Reiner Couple 🙏 they did not deserve that no matter what the issue was. His son needs to be held responsible and accountable 100% no dang excuses 🙄 dont blame others. he needs to be fully prosecuted and give him the maximum sentence for his actions. I just can't believe that people are capable of this evil action, your parents gave you life after God. he is pretty much a dead man walking.

avator
Lisa Freeman

I agree totally. He killed his parents by slitting there throats. Being an addict all his life is not an excuse for murdering your parents ever. Babying him and trying to spin it on drugs or mental health will not help. You do this horrible thing and you try to justify it but you sorry you must pay the price.

avator

💯 he was given so many chances since a young boy to stay in the steps it takes. I don't think he was ever going to change. therefore he was obviously a danger to his family with $ with the anger and rage he had. mental health is so underfunded. I'm not sure what Rob and Michelle Reiners options were at that point. treatment wasn't ever working. they couldn't force him as an adult. this is horrifying. with this type of son what should have been done when nothing worked? in a broken system. such a hard one. 😪

You are 100% correct. Drug addiction - No excuse! Mental illness - No excuse! There is absolutely no excuse to butcher your parents that loved you, gave you everything, and did whatever they could to try to help you because they wanted to see you get better! The son, Nick, is just a spoiled, rotten, evil human being who knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to slash his parents throats! There's no excuse for what he did!

100% spot on I love your raw honesty and pure courage to tell it like it is it’s absolutely disgusting what he did selfish ruthless and it’s too sad that his parents didn’t realize just how dangerous he was. I wish that he had had security guards around him at his home and you know around the world where he was going because especially people like his own son very dangerous Just absolute travesty horrific sadness that could’ve been prevented I can say that he was just a ruthless, selfish brat. You are correct! Parents were just innocent to Nick's addiction & mental health. His parents loved their son & tried to get him the necessary help But Nick , said himself, refused to get help. As a parent, if Nick's is an adult, going to get help at a mental facility, If Nick's refuses to go into that type of facility, they can't make go into the facility! if the doctors treated him before felt he was a threat to himself or others, then they could of forced him to stay and get the proper help & would have advised , the parents, ti keep Nick's away from them, the house, brother or sister, being he was a danger to them. I personally believe, that Nick got mad at his patents when they got home, and he allowed his rage of anger out & he knew what he was doing. Mental health had nothing to do with the murder of his parents!

I believe he planned the murders n used this drug addiction act so he can get off on not guilty reason of insanity. He had that big loud argument n from of witnesses before he killed them. He knew exactly what he was going to do n played it out perfectly. there's people saying he didn't know what he did probably doesn't remember what he did. yeah right. he covered the hotel windows took a shower n changed clothes n goes to a convient store like he had no worries what so ever. hr sure didn't act it looked like someone on drugs or having a breakdown. if he gets convicted he will be sent a a cushy rich mental facility n be out n a few years n make a movie about what happened n try to be famous like his dad.🤔
