the strap is coming the wrong way for the way the tree fell, it strapped from the angle he's cutting should of just gave the strap some slack, now if the tree fell the other way where all the tension would be i could see happen but no that was fake

the simple fact people don't know how to use a rope Jack that try and do tree work knowing nothing about the correct tools needed for the job is crazy, to start( the straps to low on the tree for one, two you don't use straps for tree work you use rigging lines developed to handle the forces of a tree), we would never come to someones property as a business and pull a tree with a truck, rigging lines doubling up pulley systems and rope jacks pulled with proper placed notch and back cuts, never a issue yet. this just happens with lack of experience,trees have simple problems and complex solutions. it's a tree not a weed hope he's alright and can live to learn the trade better. also leverage is everything he left to much holding wood on the left side he should have watched the movement and adjusted accordingly, with such a empty space that shouldn't have happened.
