Here's a great example of the crinoid Pentacrinites fossilis. Although plant πͺ΄ like, it's actually an animal related to echinoids and starfish. It's relatively common to find pieces of crinoid lens amongst the shingle

Not a recent find π but recently rediscovered whilst looking for something totally unrelated to fossils. However, it's such a great example of a 'woodstone cluster' πͺ΅πͺ¨ that I thought I'd brush it off and film it.

Cleaning a piece of the HUGE crinoid fossil I found π about three years ago. Now the softer clay and shale has been removed π¦ it just needs to dry and I will use my air abrasive machine to remove the hard limestone carefully
