If you're reading this, listening to the news or any other resource regarding the U.S. Hurricane season, then you are aware that you are not prepared for any disaster that may strike, at any time in the U.S. That's okay, you and the others that believe, just because it has not happened to you yet.  It probably will not happen to you in the future.  You're “dead” wrong. If you have not taken being prepared seriously and believe that any part of the government at any level will save you or your family. I suggest you start right now, preparing a go bag for everyone in your family, pets too. Work with your neighbors, find out who has special needs. Help to get necessary water, food, Medicine, Portable Shelters,  generators, and place into an area that you may access at any time.  Consider the placement for each type of disaster.  If someone with Military Service is one of your neighbors, speak with them. They will explain how to survive in the most hostile situation. Any Camping experience is a plus. Share your knowledge.  Remember it could take as long as 90 days, before you have help from outside your area or Government assistance. Think!
