Ashley Kildau

I’m a 38-year-old single mom from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, working hard every day to build a better life for my family. I’m currently in college, pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Crime Scene Investigation. It’s been a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’ve always been the type of person who gives my all to others — sometimes even giving the clothes off my back if someone needs them more than I do. Helping people and making a difference has always come naturally to me. That’s part of why I was drawn to criminal justice: I want to be someone who brings truth, fairness, and compassion into a field that truly needs it. Life hasn’t always been easy, but I believe that strength is built through struggle. Being a single mom has taught me patience, resilience, and unconditional love. Every class I take and every step I make is not just for me, but for my child and for the example I want to set — that no matter what life throws your way, you can rise above it and create your own success story.
